Seal script is an ancient form of Chinese calligraphy that originated from oracle bone script and bronze script. It became widespread during the Qin dynasty when Emperor Qin Shi Huang unified the Chinese language. It is one of the oldest Chinese writing styles, characterised by its highly stylised and intricate characters.
